# YaK Component types

Access to Component types requires a valid subscription to dbi services.

1. Download your component type archive from the [customer portal](/yak-user-doc/customer-portal.md)
2. Navigate to **Administration** -> **Component types** from the YaK UI
3. Click "**Upload Component Type**"
4. Browse your folders and upload the .zip file of your component type archive
